Salon living on borrowed time.  According to Salon Media Group's annual report and a just released auditor's report, there is "substantial doubt" about its ability to continue as a going concern. Salon has been charging for premium content, but it wasn't enough to offset a loss of $11.3 million or make a dent in the accumulated debt of $76.6 million.  [kuro5hin.org] 

Attention:  Users of the console.2 theme:
A minor correction has been made to the style definitions in the standard console.2 theme.  If you've already installed the theme, the following change in your home page template, main template, and desktop template will improve how font sizes render:

Replace:

body, td, p { font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
font-size: 90%;
}

With:

body, td { font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
font-size: 90%;
}
p { font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
font-size: 100%;
}

This will render the correct size for text within <P> tags.  Feel free to contact me with any questions.
