The joy of business travel. This week I am attending a W3C working group meeting in Cannes, France. The meeting starts at 8.30am on Monday so I had to travel on a Sunday. I turned up at the airport at the appointed hour and waited in the monster economy check-in queue only to find that whilst I had a valid ticket I wasn't listed on the flight. After much head scratching the check-in clerk noticed that my ticket was for 24th March, not 24th Feb so off to the ticket desk I went to get it changed. After waiting in another queue I got my ticket changed and then it was back to the end of the monster check-in queue again. By this time I had burned half of the hour between my arrival at the airport and the scheduled departure time of the plane. Only one more queue to go: security. I finally got into the departure lounge with 10 minutes to spare only to find that the plane was delayed by an hour - joy !
On the plus side its 15C in Cannes, the Sun is out and the hotel lobby has wireless networking.
