"What kind of peace do I mean? What kind of peace do we seek? Not a Pax Americana enforced on the world by American weapons of war. Not the peace of the grave or the security of the slave. I am talking about genuine peace, the kind of peace that makes life on earth worth living, the kind that enables men and nations to grow and to hope and to build a better life for their children - not merely peace for Americans but peace for all men and women - not merely peace in our time but peace for all time." -- JFK

Venezuela.... Coup d'etat foiled. Bush mafia disappointed. They're not only completely undemocratic, they're completely inept. Condi Rice's sole expertise was in completely misunderstanding the Soviet Union.

U.S. cooking up a coup in Venezeula? [examiner.com]. Published December 28, 2001.

sfgate.com: "U.S. officials have acknowledged that Venezuelan Army officers and other Chavez opponents visited the U.S. Embassy in Caracas to ask how the United States would react to a coup."

Remember, even at the last minute, the United States administration could have called off the coup, either out of conviction for democracy (ha ha ha), or because they knew it would fail. Clueless bozos.
