QUOTE OF THE DAY The political costs we're going to be paying for this, whether in Turkey or in Pakistan, probably in much of the Middle East, already in a great deal of Europe, throughout the world in fact, are going to be so high that, unless there is an imminent threat -- I repeat the word "imminent," which we're not using actually -- I think we can afford to let this process go forward.... And how we conduct this problem, how we deal with it is essential to the effective exercise of America's global leadership. We are literally undercutting it right now. - - Dr. Zbigniew Brzezinski RHINO HERE: Usually I'm a pretty positive fellow. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt. I think it comes from a place of truly believing that most people are nice folks and really do want the best for all their relations and friends. But they say one rotten banana spoils the bunch. In my opinion, shrub is that dark slimy banana that's messing things up for the bunch. Why? You say? Cause the man lies, pure & simple. But can we blame him? After all his papa must have been lying to shrub most of the time he was growing up, papa being a spy and all, lying was just an occupational necessity. Nowadays shrub has all he can muster just to get his words out right. Seems there's enough blame to go around to all the chicken-haws writing shrubs lines. Today I offer 2 well researched presentations of the lies of shrub & company, one list of details concerning the myths on the case for war on Iraq, and then an article reporting that Papa Bush is telling the young shrub he should reconsider turning his back on the U.N. Then comes an interesting theory brought by a documentary film maker who claims that shrub is pulling a Peter Popoff, meaning he's getting lines fed to him via a small speaker embedded in his ear. Far fetched you say? You be the judge next speech. Lastly THE BOTTOM LINE is an informative quiz; "War on Iraq IQ Test - Do you know enough to justify going to war with Iraq?" Happy Tuesday! Bush Lies - The BushWatch Collection BushWatch writes, "Bush lies so often and in so many different ways that I've never had the patience to keep a list of them. However, when I write something and include the generalization that Bush lies, some readers will write in and say, 'Oh, yeh? What did he lie about? I don't believe it.' What follows is an informal listing of just some of the lies he typically tells, starting from 2/01. Now, of course, we all know that Gore lies, Lott lies, Cheney lies, etc. But the difference between those liars and Bush is the Resident tells us that he is telling the truth when he is lying. Hence, he will tell us what he is going to do, like get his proposed tax cut from the surplus, then try to get his proposed tax cut from military and medicare funds, instead. Or, once he has actually begun a program, tell us lies about how or why the program has begun. Or tell a closed-door Dem meeting something and then swear up and down the next day that he didn't say it... Or, or...you get the idea." http://www.bushwatch.net/bushlies.htm Caught on Film: The Bush Credibility Gap Democrats on the U.S. House Appropriations Committee have produced a web page titled: "Caught on Film: The Bush Credibility Gap," which contrasts statements by George W. Bush at various photo ops around the country with his actual deeds. http://www.house.gov/appropriations_democrats/caughtonfilm.htm 13 MYTHS ABOUT THE CASE FOR WAR IN IRAQ CONTENTS: Myth 1: Removing Saddam Will Punish 9/11 Perpetrators Myth 2: Powell Presented Strong Evidence at UN Myth 3: Saddam May Soon Threaten US Myth 4: Experts 'Discover' Prohibited Missile Myth 5: Bin Laden Tape Proves Iraq Connection Myth 6: Iraq Still Has Large Nuclear Program Myth 7: If US Pulls Out Now, It Looks Bad Myth 8: A Cheap, Easy War Myth 9: Wartime Press is Free and Unbiased Myth 10: Goal is to Free Iraqis, Not to Grab Oil Myth 11: War Solves the Energy Crisis Myth 12: UN Commitments Don't Really Matter Myth 13: Protesting a War is Unpatriotic
Papa Bush Publicly Warns Dubya About Going Against World Opinion! Just when we thought things couldn't get any weirder... According to The Times Online, George Herbert Walker Bush publicly warned his resident son in a speech at Tufts University, that "hopes of peace in the Middle East would be ruined if a war with Iraq were not backed by international unity" In what the Times termed an "ominous warning for his son," Sr said that he would have been able to achieve nothing if he had jeopardised future relations by ignoring the UN! Reading is believing! Does George Dubya's father know that his son is completely out of control??? A must read! http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,3-605441,00.html Bush The Articulate - Hearing Voices By Jay Weidner, 3/09/03 ... I watched as he immediately corrected a word that he had just mis-spoken. I have encountered this before during film shoots using the earpiece prompt. This is done because the speaker has gone slightly ahead of the earpiece prompt. He makes the mistake and then hears the correct word in his ear. He then corrects himself and goes on like nothing happened. Watch the next speech. Notice how he pauses between sentences. His eyes veer robotically left and right. He then begins his next sentence. It is clear to me that these pauses are placed into the speeches on purpose so that the earpiece voice prompter does not get too far ahead of the President. Our beloved President has become an articulate spokesman for the ruinous destruction of our country. Isn't showbiz grand?
