Musicians, meet the music bazaar at least half way

Very cool use of the available low cost recording equipment, combined with use of HUB (Historically Underused Business) space to make it affordable to get music to people who otherwise might not have any exposure.

Thought: Get music artists to back this, at $60K a pop for a basic studio, you could have them popping up all over.

News briefs: April 18.

James Martin, the former manager of NASA's Viking missions to Mars, passed away April 14 at the age of 81. Martin served at NASA from 1964 to 1976, working on the Lunar Orbiter and Viking missions, and also worked at Republic Aviation and Martin Marietta. He came out of retirement in 2000 to serve on an independent panel that reviewed NASA's Mars exploration program.[spacetoday.net]

While Windows has had built in dialers before, to my knowledge, the combination with a decent speakerphone or other device has not been there up to now. Pretty sweet!

WSJ.  AOL to avoid selling broadband.  Why?  Other cable companies don't want to partner with AOL.  >>>The most sensitive issue of all may be the cable sector's desire to retain its customers. Cable executives worry that if consumers can jump between high-speed America Online on either cable or telephone companies' DSL high-speed services, they will have no loyalty to cable -- much as satellite TV's ability to offer cable programming has enabled satellite operators to skim off roughly 17 million households in the past few years.<<<
