This is just way too simple. The cricket idea is cool. Looking at these designs may lead you to ask why can't software be that straight forward to put together. Just remember that this is just the hardware and it takes software to make it go.This reminds me of the often repeated 'sales' story for object-oriented development, where the EE's have it easy since they have reusable components they just plug together. I should spend some time next week debunking that myth.
