Visual C++ 1.0

I have a fairly large collection of different versions of Visual C++ that I started a long time ago (before I joined Microsoft).  I also wanted to start playing with Flickr.  So I dedided to start posting photos of the various versions of VC++.  Here's the first one - Visual C++ 1.0.

My recollection of VC++ 1.0 is that I initially bought the version on floppies - I think it was something like 22 floppies were needed to install the product.  This got so tedious whenever I repaved my machine that I just broke down and bought the CD version.

Was VC++ 1.0 the first Microsoft C compiler that came on CD?  I don't think so.  I think I remember my former boss when I was in developer support having a CD version of Microsoft C 7 (not Visual C++).  This was the first compiler from Microsoft that supported the (then) new C++ langugage and came with the very first version of MFC.  Another thing I remember about C 7 was that it came with a huge document set.  I remember the box as being about a yard long.
