As illustrated by an informative, colorful, wordless Flash Presentation, GreenPackets SonBuddy product claims to produce a self-healing network in which each 80211 node volunteers to act as a router, and each computer finds (and re-finds, as the landscape changes) its best available path to its intended destination. This is a big part of the dream. Has it come true?
This is a lot like gnutella in wireless hardware. And, interestingly, the last application the Flash presentation features is "filesharing".
Is this to be the underground railroad of copyright-protected content?
A way for 80211-equipped automobiles to intercommunicate as they pass in the night?
Does it work?
And what about Naomi?
