Rendering Optimization

I've followed Nicholas Riley's advice, and optimised activeRenderer's code. The speed gain is terrific.

Going the Tools Way

With the support of eVector, I've turned activeRenderer into a Frontier tool. Tools are one of Radio's great features for code and data distribution: installation is a snap, just drop the file into Radio's Tools folder.

To quickly transfer tool building knowledge from eVector to my totally tool-clueless self, we've leveraged another of Radio's assets, as you can see by looking here, here and here.

In the tool learning process, while answering readers who had downloaded a bugged version of activeRenderer, I realised Frontier also included a great module to make tools update fully automatic, just like the Radio application.

All that's missing is a little dedicated resource on the server side. We're working on it with the eVector crew. I'll delay the new release of activeRenderer to see what we can come up with.

It shouldn't take very long, and it will definitely be interesting...
