Internet Legal Research tools - the latest issue of Internet Legal Research Weekly is out, featuring many new sites that will assist the legal practitioner.  My favorite is the Equine Law site.  Tom Mighell runs Inter Alia, which is the main site from which you can access prior Internet LRW posts.  This is a great resource.

Vote Smart - Project Vote-Smart is a bi-partisan organization whose founding board members include former presidents Gerald Ford and Jimmy Carter.  The New York Times has praised the site for providing detailed research on political candidates.  The organization gathers information by having candidates fill out questionnaires that indicate their position on various issues, and then it posts the answers on its website.  Louisiana senator Mary Landrieu D) did not complete her questionnaire, and neither did representative David Vitter (R).  Apparently, many candidates don't fill out these forms.  Maybe they don't like the idea of well-informed voters.

Here is the League of Women Voters site, which does more or less the same thing.
