You've got to love a weblog with this name: Strategic Armchair Command. It's a "warblog," which means that it is a blog that is devoted to coverage of the Iraqi conflict (actually the term "warblog" originally meant a weblog that arose after 9/11 and was a current events blog, as opposed to a "techblog," which is a weblog that is oriented toward technology issues).
For those who aren't as steeped in the whole weblog thing (which is probably not that many of you) the warblogs are getting a lot of press these days. In fact, one warblog --The Agonist-- that soared in popularity, due to its supposedly inside war news, turned out to be blatantly plagiarising stories posted on a pay-per-view news source. That's a shame, and not generally the norm.
In case you hadn't noticed, you'll not be getting any warblogging at this location. There is an ocean full of opinions about the war, and no one will suffer for lack of hearing mine. If you want to suffer here at this blog then you'll have to do it listening to me rant about the law and technology.
In my essay about the pitfalls of technology (entitled the Old Ways are Sometimes Best) I may have given the impression that I don't like Powerpoint, especially since I referred to the Gettysburg Address Powerpoint joke. I think technology is wonderful and I think that Powerpoint, when used well, is a great communications tool. Scott Hanselman explains how to use it well, if you are interested.
