I'm going to play with BlogShare more. It may have some of the items necessary for a measurement of social capital in web logs. Either way they do make a compelling game out of it and using money is a certain way to create visualizations of the flows in the exchange.

Note to Readers:

Six weeks from now, in our April 23 edition, we plan to publish a special report about social entrepreneurship. We will include articles that look, for example, at for-profit and not-for-profit social venture capital funds, at the difficulties of managing philanthropic projects in a down economy, and at the creative ways business schools are addressing the subject of social entrepreneurship. The section will also offer individual examples of community-oriented entrepreneurs. If you are interested in sponsoring this section, please contact Bruce Brownstein at bb@wharton.upenn.edu. If you have ideas for articles on a particular aspect of social entrepreneurship or venture philanthropy, please e-mail Robbie Shell at shellr@wharton.upenn.edu. Thanks very much. We would love to hear from you.

T.J. Ford: The Longhorns' biggest difference-maker ever

Ford Keys Texas Victory. Led by T.J. Ford's 19 points, the Longhorns beat the Spartans, 85-76, and are headed to the Final Four for the first time in 56 years. By Thomas George. [New York Times: Sports]

Great win for the Longhorns. T.J. Ford has made more of an impact than any other UT athlete ever. Earl Campbell and Ricky Williams each won a Heisman Trophy, but Texas was already established as a football school long before that. Ford is the nation's best point guard, and he makes the rest of the players around him better. Magic Johnson, who knows a thing or two about playing that position, called Ford "unguardable".
