Tomorrow is surgery day. My unfortunate, free floating, Interstim Implant lead will be pulled out and replaced with Medtronic's new tined lead - a lead with teeth. That should take care of the free floating problem.

The surgery shouldn't be too bad - probably about an hour. But it's definitely surgery - my sacrum gets roto-rootered and the control unit that is currently embedded in my butt will have to be dinked with. But it could be a hell of lot worse. I'll be under "waking anesthesia" - awake, somewhat aware, but basically on the planet Pluto.

The real bummer is that my surgery is in the late afternoon. That means I'll have to starve for most of the day. ugh...
