If there’s any downside to the long uptimes on Mac OS X (currently: [maria:~] baruz% uptime
1:23AM up 43 days, 18:08, 8 users, load averages: 1.80, 1.83, 1.93. On a laptop. I can hardly believe it.) it’s that if you’re actively creating content, bookmarking links, or downloading texts and applications from the Internet, none of this is getting content-indexed properly by Sherlock, nor is LaunchBar employing whatever algorithms it uses that makes it so good at what it does.
Occasionally, I must click on my Radio weblogArchive folder in Sherlock and select Find -> Index Now, and re-scan the Applications folder and bookmark files using LaunchBar.
Sherlock? On myself? It seems masturbatory, I agree, but really, it’s you, hapless reader, who benefits. No repeated posts, ranting on and on throughout the life cycle of the weblog, on a favorite pet peeve no one else cares about. It keeps me fresh, honest. Now, would you like one bridge, or two?
