Unnecessarily Obtrusive Angles Standing in line at Termini Bros., I felt something soft at my elbow. I turn to apologize for having unnecessarily obtrusive angles, and in doing so come face to face with a girl with a beautiful smile who apologizes to me before walking away. Realizing what I had done reduces my glib words to gibbering meaninglessnesses as I watch her walk away. Man I love pretty Asian girls in tight black pants and close-fitted red blouses who don’t mind a completely accidentally copped... well. If there’s any downside to the long uptimes on Mac OS X (currently: [maria:~] baruz% uptime 1:23AM up 43 days, 18:08, 8 users, load averages: 1.80, 1.83, 1.93. On a laptop. I can hardly believe it.) it’s that if you’re actively creating content, bookmarking links, or downloading texts and applications from the Internet, none of this is getting content-indexed properly by Sherlock, nor is LaunchBar employing whatever algorithms it uses that makes it so good at what it does. Occasionally, I must click on my Radio weblogArchive folder in Sherlock and select Find -> Index Now, and re-scan the Applications folder and bookmark files using LaunchBar. Sherlock? On myself? It seems masturbatory, I agree, but really, it’s you, hapless reader, who benefits. No repeated posts, ranting on and on throughout the life cycle of the weblog, on a favorite pet peeve no one else cares about. It keeps me fresh, honest.
