From Atlantic City to Philadelphia, the milestones to Philadelphia (beyond the tenth-mile and mile markers) are staggered along strange intervals... 52, 47, 42, 31, 22, ... Something like that. (!!!)

From Philadelphia to Atlantic City, it’s 40 miles to Atlantic City, 30, 20, then 10. Very regular. Why the disparity?

A low-flying layer of clouds was over Atlantic City Thursday night and Friday morning. Coming back from the mall on Thursday night (not having found a Hawaiian shirt for the last casual Friday at MMetJ) and coming from the Black Horse I noted the light pollution by the strange miasma overlying the skyline. Ble-ach.
