I'm reading J. David Eisenberg's SVG Essentials book at the moment, and I must say I'd strongly recommend it. It's well structured with clear, well-thought out examples. The colour insert is a nice touch as well. I wanted a book that I could race through to get up to speed with SVG very quickly, but still have enough meat for me to continue referring to it as I dig deeper into the technology. This book meets my requirements very nicely. (Disclaimer: I suppose I should note that I've written for O'Reilly in the past, but you knew that right? Not that would influence me anyway.) [Eclectic]
We second the opinion. We like O'Reilly books in general, but SVG Essentials is a particularly special gem.
