Rising Tide of Email Leaving Workers Fatigued, Profits Reduced HR.BLR.com - For nearly three-quarters of employees, the time spent dealing with office email has risen over the past year, according to a Canadian professor conducting a study of email management.
The professor, Christina Cavanagh of the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario, reports that the never-ending task of emptying the inbox is taking a toll on employees, with 56 percent of those surveyed complaining of mental fatigue from handling and receiving time-wasting messages.
