Still on the topic of blood thirsty homicidal maniacs: A senior Palestinian official said yesterday that Mr Arafat's condition was serious, but not immediately life-threatening, although CNN reported that other officials believe that he is suffering from dementia. That would be a chronic loss of mental capacity due to an organic cause. Dementia may involve progressive deterioration of thinking, memory, behavior, personality and motor function, and may also be associated with psychological symptoms such as depression and apathy.   8:42:44 PM
