Delinquent caps it off Herald Sun - A juvenile delinquent who terrorised his neighbours with a chainsaw was banned yesterday from wearing a cap or hooded sweatshirt for five years.
Authorities slapped the Anti-Social Behaviour Order on Dale Carroll, 16, of Manchester, after he was caught on a video surveillance camera taking a chainsaw to a metal post.
Carroll then threatened a passing cyclist with the saw.
He also threw fireworks at cyclists and pulled one from a bike and threatened him with an axe. He drove a car on to a pavement and down some steps.
It was the first time an Anti-Social Behaviour Order, a measure introduced to curb rising juvenile delinquency, had been used in such a manner.
Carroll was also ordered not to associate in public with more than two people except for family members, or use a chainsaw, saw or fireworks.
A violation of the order could lead to a jail term of up to five years.
