Ottawa man allegedly discussed bomb detonating device, U.K. trial hears National Post, Canada - British spies secretly recorded accused Ottawa terrorist Momin Khawaja allegedly instructing another man to operate a bomb detonating device he'd built, a London court heard Wednesday.
Khawaja, 27, is expected to stand trial in Ottawa in January on Canadian charges for his alleged participation. He, too, denies the allegations.
''Did you get that device ready?'' Khyam, 24, is allegedly heard to say on the recording, played at the Old Bailey trial.
''Yeah, I got a picture of it,'' replies a voice alleged to be that of Khawaja. ''You have two pieces, right, a receiver and transmitter, the receiver will be similar to let's just say a mobile phone.
''All you need to do is have detonator wires hooked up and that will send a charge down the line to whatever your sending it to.''
