The Summer 2007 edition of Leadtime, the AEJMC Newspaper Division newsletter, is now online as a PDF file linked to the division home page... http://aejmc.net/newspaper
Thanks to quick work by editor Jack Rosenberry of St. John Fisher College, this is the first time the newsletter been available electronically before the hard copy lands in members' mailboxes... See the newsletter for details about the association's August convention from Newspaper Division Head Kathleen Wickham of the University of Mississippi.
Jack also has the scoop on some new Web site features for Newspaper Research Journal the refereed
quarterly published by the University
of Memphis Department of Journalism and the AEJMC Newspaper
Division. Among other things, the journal has new online tools for manuscript-submission and peer-review.
Now all the Newspaper Division needs is for me to do some redecorating on its modest website... which still echoes a somewhat gharish color scheme inspired by the old look of the AEJMC.org headquarters website... which was redesigned earlier this year. Along with new colors, new menus and new softwware, the national headquarters has added a bloglike discussion forum, aejmc.org/talk that I keep meaning to visit more often... Lots more news than you'll find in this blog!
Maybe the guilt will get me to face that redecorating before the convention... Send suggestions.
Also, if any past editors have previous years' Leadtime in PDF form -- or have an idle grad assistant with a scanner or another way to produce digital copies, I'd be happy to add them to the archive.
