mai's america mai's america, a surreal documentary of a young vietnamese woman's high school exchange to mississippi. she makes friends with a rather odd assortment of people: her baptist host family, self-proclaimed rednecks, a south vietnamese immigrant, and a transvestite. she makes the best of an difficult situation, which is at times very isolating. inspiring. thanks to the diversityworks for showing this film. 11:03:35 PM comment [] ![]() |
