forgotten stuffed animals I used to go to the San Francisco open art studio, peaking inside different artists' houses and their works. This year I discovered that the East Bay ProArts Gallery has their own version of this. Wow! Saw some fantastic mosiacs. This picture doesn't do it justice--but when you put your head inside all the mirrows reflect your face back. Also saw another artist who uses twisted stuffed animals as her muse. really funny to hear what went into making the paintings. i'm going send her a picture of lambie, maybe i'll post it to my blog. nobody loves lambie, except me (and maybe d, too). ![]() 10:56:46 PM comment [] |

Rivers and Tides Scottish artist Andy Goldsworthy is featured in the movie Rivers and Tides. Goldsworthy uses the natural materials around him in surprising and intuitive ways. Slow moving movie, in the best sense. Beautiful, thoughtful, unpretentious. I'm a compulsive critic, and honestly, upon leaving the theater I didn't have any complaints. ![]() 10:46:21 PM comment [] |
