control room
i finally got around to seeing Control Room last night. it's quite a shock to see real footage of the war--not just sanitized propaganda. if you care about humans, if you care about media justice, if you want to see what the u.s. government is up to, this movie is a must-see.

the u.s. gvt says that only "embedded" journalists can cover the war. then three non-embedded media outlets are targetted in an airstrike. the gvt says there was gunfire coming from these places, but i find it too much of a coincidence, that a network like al jazeera, which is running images counter to the u.s. propaganda machine was not a target. in any case, this, and many other incidents need to be answered to. who is the government to determine how a war is to be covered?
