I don't want to risk producing a malign Power, which is exactly why, as nifty as i think technology is, my energy is much more focused on healing/freeing us from fears and dogmas.
The discussion is fascinating when you follow the threads backwards from here (I'm kind of in this mode right now having to catch up to a bunch of discussions). I don't know the Vinge novel he sites but it looks like another book goes on the queue today!
