My stepfather, John Jagel, has a showing of his most recent paintings at Zeitgeist gallery in Cambridge. He has been painting quite a lot in the past few years and is taking things in a different direction.
"These recent paintings demonstrate a dramatic breakthrough for me. A revelation occurs each and every time I face a blank canvas. The task for me is to find the means, the language to create something from nothing; to gain a grip on a concept then to follow it wherever it takes me to resolution."
More images can be found on his new website, but get over to the gallery to see some of these works in person.
