Another day, another victim of the serial shooter MD Rockville, Maryland restaurants were pretty much deserted today, in the wake of terrorist shootings by an unknown sniper. Even the dog groomer had no dogs waiting, when I went to get our dog a bath (his allergies are making him miserable). Trader Joe's, Circuit City, and mall stores on Rockville Pike all had near empty parking lots. We thought this weather might slow the sniper down, but he got a man in Fredericksburg, Virginia today. Is he shooting from his car so his scope doesn't get rained on? nobody knows...

I feel sorry for the families, who are just devastated by their family members being cut down in a horrible way and for the police who have to bear the brunt of this violence. If you've ever been through such horrors, you never forget it... I heard a murder once (didn't see it) outside of my postage stamp apartment at 2:00 a.m., soon after I moved to Washington, DC. I can still recall the sounds... what sticks with you is the inhumanity of someone's last moments ... and their life being cut short for no reason... and their pain... and the knowledge that their last moments on earth were pure agony and torture at the hands of a fiend. Everyone deserves better, everyone...
