Protecting your child: even tiny dogs kill DC A trainer comments on this week's shocking case of a small dachshund killing a newborn infant: 'In 2001, human deaths around the country were attributed to beagles, Pomeranians and Labs. Only one confirmed death was caused by an American Pit Bull Terrier  If a child is going to be left alone in a room [even if confined], the dog must be taken out with the adult...'  [Washington Post] (I wish the insurance companies would read this...)
