PSA is an indicator of prostate activity. It has been known for years that PSA level does a very poor job as a prostate cancer prognosticator. There is tremendous variability from man to man with normal prostates. Cancer certainly elevates PSA, but the correlation between PSA and levels of progression (normal to hyperproliferative to PIN to cancer) is not a good predictor of stage or outcome. It Was Medical Gospel, but It Wasn't True. Celebrated our 27th anniversary last night with a wonderful meal. Had a blue-fin tuna appetizer that was the best fish I have ever eaten. The bottle of champagne from Iron Horse was also wonderful. Indy was hopping last night wth the memorial day celebration prior to the big race.
