Endurance activities with illness don't pay off. I am just getting weaker, with no rest. Dr. Gregory prescribed anti-biotics. Apparently, I have bronchitis and an ear infection both.

Scott was surrounded by a gaggle of women in their early 40's, who also called the new young guy, Ryan, over to the bar. One woman asked me why I was smiling, listening to them grill Scott, and wondered if he was lying. No, I told her, it's the interaction. They will go home tonight thinking they are wild women, and exchange e-mails from their desks for the next few days about it.

I am still fighting my cold. I keep telling myself I'm not going to die if I go in and work. But I wonder. What happens with bronchitis or pneumonia if the person lets it go? Do your lungs just stop working. Filled with fluid. I also wonder if it would be possible to do an instant cure of symptoms by immersing someone in liquid oxygen, as they've experimented with for deep sea diving. Seems to me that therapy would clean out the lungs quickly, and might even have some beneficial residuals. I don't think Dr. Gregory will prescribe more than antibiotics tomorrow when I see him, but I will present the oxygen immersion treatment idea to see if it's medically sound.
