The Triangle blog conference is getting lots of publicity. Looks like a good crowd from GSO will be going down to Chapel Hill. Anyone interested in sharing rides can meet in the parking lot of my office building (the old Wrangler plant, corner of Elm and Lee) that morning to set up the carpools and caravan...

David Wharton reports that the journalism curriculum at UNCG is going to cover blogging, and that local blogger/journalists wil be invited to speak to the class. Wharton: "My advice to the invited bloggers: make sure you get a meal out of it." Trust me: the professional journalists already know that one.

I just signed on to make my annual visit to Justin Catanoso's journalism class at Wake Forest. The first time I mentioned blogging there, it was as a coda to the larger discussion, and it was met with skepticism by the students. This time, it's the subject of my talk.

Earlier, Wharton unveiled the blog for one of his own classes.
