••• Well, patient readers, I thought I'd ought to post something to let you all know that I'm still here. As of yesterday, I'm officially scheduled to return to the operating room for more extensive sinus surgery in early August. After the ten days of IV antibiotics, I was actually starting to feel some better. I had almost two weeks of waking up every day with no headache. But then they started in again -- mild ibuprofin caliber first. This last one started Saturday night and didn't let up until Monday night, when I finally got a second opinion on whether pain relievers would be helpful and appropriate in my situation. NoseSucker is extremely tight-fisted with the pain meds. I like that about him, generally. But after three nights of sleeping an hour, waking up and thinking "dang, my head hurts," nodding off for another hour and waking up again thinking, "dang, my head hurts" -- well, Kim convinced me our local GP might have a more humane approach to my problem. So now I'm loopy and rambley, but much more bearable company. Gonna be a long, but reasonably tolerable few weeks waiting for the surgery date.   1:48:36 PM    63     itemlink->
