Heading off to the old Alma Mater for this year's Theological Symposium. Should be interesting as it'll be my first opportunity to hear (and perhaps speak with) Dr. David Benke in person.
Should be an unusually vigorous and stimulating symposium considering current events in my church body, enough to make a fella have to strain the grey matter a bit.
Gonna be all the better because the beloved Mother-in-Law is going to be here tending the kids, so Kim and I have a few days together on the road.
All the years of our marriage, we've loved travelling together. Some couples bicker and fight if trapped too long in a car, but we've found such travel time a persistent delight -- and all the more so sans kids (though they truly do travel well too, as this weekend journey to Wauneta, NE for a Mission presentation proved once again). Couldn't ask for a better friend in this world than the one I married.
I'll catch y'all when I get back later this week.
