•••On Disagreement and Truth Well, my two or three visitors have perhaps noted the good Pope Sleipnir and I are having a delightful discussion on the nature of truth and it's relationship to disagreements. As I've openly mentioned in commenting about the controversy in the LCMS, it's been a personal struggle to cope with the human range of emotions, particularly my own anger and frustration. I don't like the fact that the church is fighting, and truly wish it wasn't. Yet whether I like it or not, I believe such controversy is both necessary and in no way surprising or unusual. So in chewing through these things, I did what hopefully every Christian does at a time like this -- seeks out the Word for instruction and guidance.
