•••What Is Clear I had the delightful task of editing an outstanding article written by Dr. John Wohlrabe yesterday for the Consensus pages. Dynamite stuff, tackling head-on the assertion by some of our pastors (in particular a Rev. Don Matzat, the more-or-less chief theological advisor to Rev. David Benke) saying not only that Muslims, Jews, Hindus and Christians all worship the same God anyway, but that this is what truly confessional Lutherans have always believed and taught. "What Is Clear" is that Matzat ought to know better than to say such things. Wohlrabe thoroughly debunks the claim that such a position is even by any remote stretch of the imagination the same as that of historic, confessional Lutheranism. Odd days indeed are these where a paper such as this even needs to be written to remind the Missouri Synod we're not and never have been Unitarian in our theology.   9:30:27 PM   googleit 153
