'Trustworthiness'
Slipping Bush image may make attacks on Kerry less plausible. Now this is interesting.

WASHINGTON - With President Bush's credibility under the fiercest assault yet, Republican plans to make an issue of the trustworthiness of his likely Democratic foe, Sen. John Kerry, have hit a snag.

Bush has been stung by the absence of weapons of mass destruction that he vowed would be found in Iraq and by smaller controversies over his budget, Medicare spending and even science programs.

GOP campaign operatives are warily eyeing recent polls that for the first time show many Americans don't see the president as truthful.

A Presidential Contest?
Ralph Nader is running for President of the U.S.A. as an Independent. Some Democrats are whining about this.

It's a free country. If the Democratic Party is so weak that Nader threatens to take away a crucial chunk of votes, they don't deserve to win. If the Democrats really mean business this year, they should be able to win with Nader in the contest.

There are so many Republicans unhappy with the current administration that we may see a fourth candidate enter the race, threatening to take away some votes from Bush. We may see something like 1992, but instead of having three candidates, we'll have four. - G.S.
