McCARTNEY'S "US" TOUR
At this year's Super Bowl, Paul McCartney announced he was planning a North American tour. The itinerary has just been released, as Sir Paul will kick off the "US tour" in Miami on September 16. McCartney's latest concert circuit lasts until the end of November, and includes a few cities he has never played, such as Omaha, Nebraska and Des Moines, Iowa.
The "US tour" will coincide with the release of McCartney's next studio record, which is due from Capitol Records later this year. The album will be produced by Nigel Godrich, who has also worked with R.E.M., Beck and Radiohead.
In a statement, McCartney said, "We are looking forward to playing again in America. They know how to have a good time and we're there to give it to them. It'll be fun to visit some new places, to see some old faces and to do things a bit differently this time. We're ready to rock."
