END PLATE: Long Announcements, Supporting Documents,
& other "stuff"
Did you know that your library can obtain the entire 37-title BBC production
of Shakespeare's plays on DVD for less than a third of the normal price?
Three AEAs have collaboratively purchased the rights for educational and
library distribution in Iowa. AEAs 10, 11, and 12 (Cedar Rapids, Johnston,
and Sioux City) negotiated this special opportunity with Ambrose Media (New
York).
A complete script (that remains true to Shakespeare's original play) is
included in a Word document. This series was reviewed by Booklist 2001, and
Today's Librarian, April 2001. The price of the programs, direct from
Ambrose, is $99.95 per title or $2,995 for the set of 37 plays. The AEA
partnership can offer the plays on DVD for $30.00 per title or $915.00 if
purchased as a 37 title series (shipping is included).
This is the entire Shakespeare collection including Hamlet, Romeo and
Juliet, Macbeth, King Lear, Julius Caesar, Anthony and Cleopatra, A
Midsummer Night's Dream, The Tempest, Merchant of Venice, etc. Featuring
some of Britain's most distinguished theatrical talent these DVDs are an
ideal choice for libraries, literature classes or simply for personal
enjoyment. The production values are excellent.
To order copies of any individual play or the complete set, send your
purchase request to:

educated, widely read and cultured individuals who wish to share this peculiar
