So while watching Monday Night Football, I've seen two shows that have "Viewer Discretion Advised" warnings, one for language and one for violence. . .my question is, why don't I ever see "Viewer Discretion Advised" because this show sucks. . .as in:
Due to poor writing and unfunny, washed up actors and actresses, viewer discretion is advised. Seems only fair to me. . . 10:10:49 PM ![]() |
Can you say delayed gratification? I knew you could. . . Part of me thinks how cool it would be to live to 140, all the techology you'd see, all the inventions and progress made by mankind. . .but the other part, the hungry part, says give me my damn pizza back. . .I can't imagine what a 1500 calorie diet would be like. . .after hard days at the gym, I can eat that at lunch and still be hungry. . .not to mention, think of all the crappy things about being 140. . .you see your spouse die. . .then you see all your kids die. . .chances are, you might see half your grandkids die. . .people will still be hoping for peace in the Middle East. . .computers will have taken over the world. . .Europe will still hate us. . . No, I think half that 140 sounds like about the outer limit of anything I'd like to see. . .I can barely stand to think about outliving my cats, must less everyone I know and all their kids. . . What could it possibly be that makes "superlongevity" sound great? Maybe it's my complete inability to prolong gratification, but never feeling full again just so I could live 30% longer really doesn't do it for me. . .it's been hard enough trying to cut down on cholesterol and fat. . .cutting down on all food would be impossible. . .pass the Krispy Kremes, I say. . . |
An interesting article on the evolution of behavior and how our behavior may be related to the behavior of chimpanzees. . .it wouldn't surprise me to find out, though I'm not sure something so definitive could ever happen in studing behavior through evolutionary biology, that our behavior is in fact a genetic artifact from our evolutionary past, a past that stems directly from a common parent with chimps. . . 7:15:55 PM ![]() |
