Oh... and about Battlefield. I finally got everything fixed when I discovered that the RAID configuration I was using is known to screw up multimedia performance on VIA chipsets. So bye-bye RAID. Wasn't really that useful anyway.

Yup, I know, I've been lagging with my posts the last few months. Over three weeks this time. I won't promise that I'll be making updates more frequently, since I highly doubt I will. Yesterday I finished reading Ayn Rand's The Fountain Head, which was a great novel tells of an interesting philosophy (Objectivism). My dad had recommend I read the book based on my general ideals about life, and this book resonated very clearly with my beliefs.
As for technology-related stuff, I've been playing with unit tests for my applications at Cisco the last week or so. We were using in-container testing (Cactus) but it proved to be far too slow. So I wrote a MemoryHelper for the Ofbiz entity engine which does a fair amount of the functionality in-memory. The entire test suite runs in under 1 second now, which is very nice. However, this doesn't get around testing code that uses complex queries and/or JDBC. Anyone got any clues how mock objects could help with this?
OK, I think that's it (I'm in the middle of my artificial intelligence lecture, and I think my typing is getting on some nerves). Oh yeah, and I'm thinking about buying a Subura Impreza WRX. Any thoughts?
