finally released GAIA beta 1, then immediately got on a plane to javaone. the reports are accurate - it was basically a sun marketing event. had some good business meetings. one of my friends called on friday and offered to fly me in his private plane to vegas for some fun. it was awesome flying low over the sierras late and nite, and he gave me a good overview of the plane's instrumentation. our group partied and gambled throught the night, and ended up crashing at around 9 a.m. our original rooms were canceled because we forgot to check in, and the police almost arrested me twice for sleeping in the restaurant. on the way back, i slept in the plane. appararently i sleep with my eyes open, which is pretty freaky. only one past girlfriend has ever mentioned that. now i'm back in dallas, hacking on the GAIA/UDDI integration. 1:34:40 AM    comment []
