Temporary solution. This is priceless:
The Ericsson Mobility World website is at the moment experiencing technical difficulties. Therefore we have decided to temporary open up all our areas to all visitors. This means that our documentation and tools & enablers are currently accessible to everyone.A rare case where technical incompetence undoes stupidity (not offering "all areas to all visitors" in the first place).
Corel in trouble. No wonder Corel is in trouble. I got interested in "digital creativity" tools and remembering that Corel Draw was a popular product I decided to check out what's new (given that my latest personal encounter with Corel Draw was at about version 3.0). And their web site is horrible. When I saw a flash intro my first thought was that I mistyped the URL. I wouldn't expect a software company to put a flash intro on their web page. Where was Corel's web team when everybody and their sisters were loudly condemning flash intros as evil for the last couple of years? And it doesn't get any better. It's hard to find detailed information about the software (I doubt there is something approaching detailed information on the site), etc. The site is just bad.
Upcoming movie. The trailer for upcoming movie "The Transporter" looks interesting. And the story was written by Luc Besson, the director of unforgettable "La Femme Nikita" and "Le Grand Bleu".
Advice. jessica abel:
5. Do you have any advice for people who are just getting started in comics? It is so very much true not only in the field of comics, but in any field.
More on aggregation. Paolo makes good points about search engines and RSS aggregation. I agree than having RSS news aggregators is better than not having them at all. But we can do better and Paolo has some ideas. Additionally, I think that we should go beyond RSS. The idea is very sketchy, but the gist of it is: RSS should only be one source of information. What would other sources be? I don't know. Maybe periodically re-run Google query that alerts you to new pages for your query? (but the really beatuful part here is that I can have exchange of ideas with someone living in Italy. Awesome.)
