Rickard has yet another interesting idea Whoa.... Deja vu. I've actually been tinkering with something some what like you describe: A blog directory for registering,searching,and rating blogs. It's not as sophisticated as you describe, but it would allow bloggers to register their web log by title, keyword(s) and rss.link. You can then do a keyword search for a web log, view the ratings on it, and subscribe to it. Initially I'm thinking of a 1-5 rating scale and a review. You can either rate the blog on the directory site or add a link to your web log so users can rate you directly. I don't know how much value it'll actually have, but I thought it'd be a nice experiment. There seems to be no easy way right now to find all the web logs you may be interested in. Anyway, I hope to have something on my site running in the next few days - just a simple hack to start with using hsql db and Lucene. 9:53:59 PM
