The power of WebWork

I really love this framework.

Today I hooked WebWork and Jakarta XML-RPC together to use the two as the Command dispatcher/processor for XML-RPC requests. I was able to do all this without modifying or tweeking either package.

This gives me the ability to build the Commands for processing both HTTP and XML-RPC in the same bean-like fashion and configure all via an XML file.

Very cool indeed.

In a world where...

I think it was Janeane Garofalo that did a thing about movie trailers always starting with:

  • In a world where...
  • In a city...
  • In a town...
Sure enough, I was in a movie rental place the other day and they all started that way.

That got me thinking. Their must be some powerful, marketing, mojo, magic behind this for so many trailers to use that same approach.

So from now on, I plan to start all my web logs with:

  • On the web where...
  • In a router somewhere....
  • On a Blog...
