Dave Winer arrives in Winnemucca....
10:23AM. Logging off from California. 7:06PM. Logging on from Winnemucca, NV. Had a lovely drive today. I'm exactly where I want to be, in the middle of absolutely nowhere. A little bit of rain coming over the Sierra. It's warm here, in the upper 50s. Had a little trouble connecting via Earthlink, it's a long distance connect so I'll probably wait to upload today's pics.
Hey look Dane! Dave's in Winnemucca!
A suggestion to Userland software....

Mexico Warns Of Border Closing. NBC San Diego Mar 11 2003 10:24PM ET [Moreover - California news]
Here's the interesting part of this article:
The Mexican consulate said it was told that if the United States goes to war with Iraq, the color-coded alert system will go to code red, and the lanes of entry at the U.S. border will be severely cut back.
If this happens and the terror alert goes to red, it will be the highest the terror alert has been since it was instituted post 9/11.
