The Latest Award
I received the Howard A. Cutler Award from the Alaska Council on Economic Education the other evening at a reception and dinner for the Alaska Economic Education Leadership Institute.

What a total surprise! I wondered why L. said he would go to that economic-thing dinner where Vernon Smith was speaking. I thought it was because he wanted to hear the 2002 winner of the Nobel Prize in Economics. Little did I know it was because of me. (L. almost always opts out of such functions and never volunteers to go to such events.)

Howard A. Cutler was the UAF Chancellor who initiated the partnership between the Council on Economic Education and the University of Alaska in 1977.
