A NY Times article discusses how students are learning to evade moves to enforce copyright restrictions in educational institutions (by limiting bandwidth, closing ports, etc.). Many institutions are using copyright infractions to teach the students about intellectual property but many more are engaged in battling it more authoritatively. An educator at the School of Information, Univ. of Michigan aptly labels this dilemma facing educational institutions as "enforce" or "educate".
