For those who are interested, here's the hot off the presses opinion in Ring v. Arizona. As you may have heard, the Supreme Court ruled 7-2 that Arizona's death penalty sentencing system was unconstitutional because juries, not judges should be making the final decision on capital punishment. One minor note:  the two dissenters are Arizonans. The next question is what happens to these folks; do we spend the money to re-try them all, commute the sentence to life in prison, with or without possibility of parole, try to do a simple sentence re-hearing?
