LawMeme
If you're reading my weblog, Mark Pilgrim recommends that you also take a look at LawMeme (a weblog maintained by the Yale Law School) among other things. Good recommendation

Experimental Space
Barbara Haven of California is putting together an annotated list of egov blog resources. The list is pretty short thus far. Barbara sees it as a way to keep in touch during a time when no out-of-state travel resources are available.

Beacon Hill Competitiveness
The Beacon Hill Institute at Suffolk University just released its rankings of state and city competitiveness. According to the survey, Utah ranks 13th among the 50 states and the Salt Lake metro area ranks 10th among the top 50 metro areas.. That's not too bad, but you need to explore the criteria a little to see what it's all about. An interesting stat: Salt Lake ranks 50th (that's dead last0 based on volume of toxic releases, but rates very well in the pollution days category. The area ranks high as an entrepreneurial hot spot and gets top marks for infrastructure, the state's bond rating, and for people online.
