Jeff Henley on Driving Business
Jeff Henley, Oracle's CFO and Executive Vice-president, met today with a group of Utah IT directors and product managers. Henley (shown at right) presented seven tenets of business prosperity.
- Consolidate and simplify information technology
- Move to shared services
- Adopt self-service
- Automate all processes
- Leverage low-cost computing
- Ensure visibility and accountability
- Build a culture of agility
Henley's message focused on delivering better quality, better control, and much better information through centralization. According to Henley, centralization is the right thing to do based on today's technology. Oracle has not only centralized major business functions, but increasingly has also linked those functions together. The result has been that costs have gone down and service levels have improved.
